OpticMonkey ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. We collect specific data classified as "Sensitive Personal Data" under Indian Law to manufacture your medical device:
- Health Data: Eye power (Sphere, Cylinder, Axis, Prism), Pupillary Distance (PD), and images of your medical prescription.
- Identity Data: Name, Phone Number, Shipping Address.
3. PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING
By using our platform, you explicitly consent to the processing of your data for:
- Manufacturing: Sharing your prescription details with our optical lab partners for lens cutting and fitting.
- Compliance: Verifying the validity of your prescription as required by the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
- Delivery: Sharing your address/phone with logistics partners (e.g., Delhivery, BlueDart).
We DO NOT sell, trade, or rent your medical data to third-party advertisers.
4. DATA RETENTION & SECURITY
- Security: We implement standard SSL encryption and secure databases to protect your medical data.
- Retention: We retain prescription data for a period of 2 years to facilitate re-ordering and warranty claims, after which it is anonymized.
5. USER RIGHTS (Under DPDP Act)
As a "Data Principal," you have the following rights:
- Right to Access: You may request a summary of the data we hold about you.
- Right to Correction: You may ask us to update your prescription or contact details.
- Right to Erasure: You may request the deletion of your account and medical data by emailing privacy@opticmonkey.com. Note: We may retain transaction records for 7 years as required by GST/Tax laws.
